Product Introduction

JMS2-110 impulse relay is suitable for AC counting track circuit as a track relay.


Applicable environment

(1) Temperature: -40℃~+60℃

(2) Relative humidity: not more than 90% (+25℃)

(3) Air pressure: not less than 74.8kPa (equivalent to an altitude below 2500m)

(4) Working position: horizontal

(5) Vibration: when the frame frequency is 5Hz~55Hz, there should be no resonance; when the frame frequency is 5Hz~30Hz, the amplitude is not more than 0.35mm; when the frame frequency is more than 30Hz~55Hz, the amplitude is not more than 0.12mm;

(6) Impact 40~80/time, acceleration is not more than 5g;

(7) There should be no harmful gas causing explosion hazard around, and dust-proof measures should be taken.

skills requirement

1. The contact resistance of the relay contact and the relay power supply unit and the socket reed should not exceed Table 1.

2. The relay coil resistance is 110Ω, and its error should not exceed ±10%.

3. The selenium rectifier must meet the following performance requirements

a) Forward: input AC voltage 6.5V, output DC voltage 4V, DC current should not be less than 45mA 

b) Reverse: input DC voltage 30V, and its current should not be more than 16mA

4. The insulation withstand voltage of the relay should be able to withstand AC sine wave 50Hz, 1000V effective value voltage, and there should be no breakdown or flashover after 1Min.

experimental method

Requirements for test satellites, meters, and power supplies

The accuracy of measuring shape and installation dimensions of measuring tools should not be less than 0.05mm, and the accuracy of feeler gauge should not be less than level 2.

The measurement error of the dynamometer should not be more than 2%

The accuracy of the AC voltmeter used for testing should not be lower than level 1

The power supply voltage should remain stable, and its fluctuation range should not exceed 5%

The waveform of the AC power supply should be a sine wave with a frequency of ±1Hz


Measurement of mechanical properties

When the relay is in the released state, use a feeler gauge to measure the front contact gap and a dynamometer to measure the back contact pressure. When the relay is in working condition, use a feeler gauge to measure the back contact gap, and use a dynamometer to measure the front contact pressure.

When measuring the contact gap, the axis of the feeler gauge should be perpendicular to the minimum distance between the contacts, and the contact springs should not be displaced.

Measure the contact pressure. The force point of the dynamometer should be on the reed immediately close to the front end of the contact. The measuring rod of the dynamometer should be parallel to the plane of the reed, and gradually increase the pressure on the end of the dynamometer measuring rod at the contact. Read the redemption case when the contact is disconnected.


Measurement of electrical characteristics

The circuit for testing the electrical characteristics of the relay is shown in the figure below.

1. Release value

On the coil of the relay, apply the magnetizing voltage value in the specified direction, and then gradually reduce to the maximum voltage value obtained from the moving contact and the front contact segment.

2. Working value

Reduce the voltage to zero, cut off the circuit for 1 min, close the circuit, apply voltage to the coil in the same direction, until the armature contacts the pole, and the contact reaches the minimum voltage value obtained.

3. Release value when there is no contact pressure

On the coil of the relay, apply the magnetizing voltage value in the specified direction, and put a piece of paper between the front contact piece and the support piece, so that the moving contact does not contact the front contact, and gradually reduce the voltage, knowing that the moving contact and the rear contact have just touched When, the maximum voltage value obtained.


Installation method

Install the socket on the electric appliance assembly frame, insert the relay into the socket as shown in Figure 4, and clamp it tightly with a hanging spring.

Troubleshooting methods

Working value exceeds the specified requirements

1. Adjust the gap between the armature stop and the pole shoe to reduce the working value. The method is as follows: increase the gap between the armature and the sitting pole shoe, and reduce the gap between the armature and the lower right pole shoe.

2. Increase the back contact pressure.

3. Under the premise of ensuring the contact point, the magnetic force of the permanent magnet should not be too strong.

4. Check the height of the upper right stop nail, if it does not meet the height of the drawing, replace it.

5. The pressure of the front contact should not be too large.

6. Poor characteristics of silicon rectifier.


Release value is lower than the specified value

1. Adjust the gap between armature stop and polarization to increase the release value. The method is as follows: reduce the gap between the armature and the lower left pole shoe, and increase the gap between the armature and the lower right pole shoe.

2. Increase the front contact pressure.

3. Under the premise of ensuring the pressure of the front contact, the magnetic flux of the permanent magnet should not be too strong.

4. Check the height of the upper left stop, if it does not meet the height of the drawing, replace it.


Poor characteristics of silicon rectifier

Main phenomenon

1. When the silicon rectifier is put aside for a long time, its reverse resistance will decrease/decrease by 3~10 times.

2. The silicon rectifier works under load. Due to the aging effect, the resistance increases and the reverse resistance decreases, which reduces the efficiency of the rectifier.


Maintenance method

1. Perform energizing treatment on the rectifier. When processing, connect the positive pole of the power supply to the positive pole of the rectifier, and connect the negative pole of the power supply to the negative pole of the rectifier. First, add 60% of the rated AC voltage to the rectifier for 2 to 3 minutes. Increase to 75% of the rated value, and then increase the voltage to the rated value every 2 to 3 minutes, and stay for 2 hours. The fatigue of the rectifier is basically overcome.

When the AC voltage is just connected, a popping sound may be heard, and sometimes sparks can be observed on the active surface of the rectifier. The silicon layer of the distilled distilling film on this surface is partially waved through. In order to avoid damage to the rectifier, only the end popping sound is complete. The voltage can be increased after stopping.

2. After the rectifier is energized, the characteristics are still not up to the requirements, and the silicon rectifier should be replaced.
